Samir scored within 224 seconds of his full debut for the Club and two years on he looks ready to take his game to the next level.

No Arsenal player impressed or scored more during pre-season in 2010 and the Frenchman certainly looks like he has a point to prove after missing out on his country's World Cup squad.

Arguably Arsenal's finest dribbler, Samir is a cultured, creative midfielder with an eye for a pass and he is equally effective in a central role or cutting inside from the left.

At his best he can bewilder entire defences - just ask Porto, the victims of Samir's stunning solo effort in the Champions League last season.
